How we match a dredger to your work

Every answer you give filters and ranks the dredgers. Here is what happens behind each step:

01
Location

Sets water type, available depth and access. Too deep a draught or too big for a river? That dredger drops down or out.

02
Soil

17 soil types, from fluid mud to hard rock. Each changes the real output, e.g. firm clay ≈ 60% of sand speed, rock needs a cutter or backhoe.

03
Volume, depth & time

We calculate the output per hour you need, check the dredger reaches your target depth, and how many units it takes.

04
Availability

Matches are grouped: free nearby, free elsewhere, charter/buy from builder, or contractor vessel — with days until on site.

Result: a ranked list with estimated output, duration and availability for each dredger — plus an optional AI comparison of pros and cons. All figures are indicative; confirm with the builder or owner.
